Upwards Basketball is a Christian based basketball league that is so much more than just playing basketball.
Children from K through 8th grade are welcomed to join the league during registration as a basketball player, or cheerleader. Practices and games are opportunities to learn and grow in the sport and in faith.
Opportunities for volunteering and supporting the league are always available, and all help is appreciated. Volunteers may work as coaches, in the concession stand, support for the players and cheerleaders, and always welcome are those who wish to provide devotional time during breaks. This is an awesome opportunity to shine the light of Christ out into the community, please join us in supporting our league.
Do you have 1 hour on a week night & 1 hour on Saturday mornings to make a difference in a child's life?
We have a group of 2nd/3rd grade boys who need a basketball coach.
Rewards? Leading a child closer to God, fun memories, & a FREE Upward polo.
Volunteers are needed: coaches/assistant coaches, referees, concession stand help, time keeper, scorekeepers, practice night
hospitality room workers (this is a chance to make the connections) If you're willing to volunteer please contact
Barb (322-7986) or Renee (338-1970). Background checks need to be updated and the process can be started now.

October 10 -17: Registration mailed out to previous players and passed out registration at schools
November 11: Last day of Early Registration
Evaluation Begins: November 15 and 17 6:00-7:30/ November 19 Evaluation 9-12:00 and chili cook off and silent auction 1-5:00
December 2 skills clinic 6:00-7:30pm
Practice: Week Ending Dec 10
Christmas Holiday 18Dec11-02Jan12 Games begin Jan 14 through March 3
TENTATIVE Upward Banquet: March 17 1:00 any make up games will be played before banquet
It is a race to the heart of a child, and the first one there wins. Help us with the race for Christ.
